Ankora Radio is an online radio station founded by Tanmoy (Bittu) Chatterjee on April 14, 2019. The station is based in West Bengal, India. Ankora Radio streams songs of independent artists, bands and live jam sessions. Having been influenced by the operations of the station, Tanmoy (Bittu) Chatterjee also pararally operates a magazine titled Ankora.
The mission of Ankora Radio is to uplift Bengali independent artists, theatre organisations and musical bands in a promising manner. Ankora Radio is all set to sponsor rural musicians and artists from all over West Bengal by providing them an online platform to showcase their talent. In 2012, Ankora, the little magazine, was founded with the combined efforts of Tanmay (Bittu) Chatterjee and Debanjan Bose. Later, because of other engagements, Debanjan Bose pulled himself out of Ankora. And, Tanmay alone led Ankora till 2017. They collaborated with the legendary Bengali band Mohiner Ghoraguli and organised their first ever sub-urban music festival Mofossoler Rockbazi. In 2019, they reprinted a twenty years old magazine titled Gautam and were successful enough to release an album named Asche Ponchas Bochor Por. Since April 2019, the team have launched their exclusive radio station Ankora Radio..
